-
The good news is that 80 to 90% of your healthcare concerns can be handled directly by Dr. Stone. When needed, we can refer you trusted specialists who take your insurance.
-
As part of your membership, labs done during your annual exam are included in your membership. Should you need additional lab work, we offer labs at significantly discounted prices. We work closely with a local imaging company for affordable cash-prices or you can use your insurance.
-
We can prescribe medications to the pharmacy of your choosing and can assist in finding coupons and discounts through GoodRx should your insurance not cover it.
-
Direct primary care (DPC) and concierge medicine offer similar enhanced access and personalized care from expert physicians. Concierge practices bill your insurance in addition to membership fees which may result in additional copays. DPC is a more cost-effective option, as it doesn't bill insurance, resulting in significantly lower membership fees and reduced administrative costs compared to concierge medicine.

Then this model is perfect for you! Stone Medical focuses on keeping you healthy through preventative care and health education. Membership gives you access when you need it (minor injuries such as burns or cuts OR infection such as COVID, a sinus infection or UTI). Unbeatable access creates peace of mind and prevents costly, time-consuming ER and urgent care visits. Why pay $500 to wait two hours for a urine test or stitches that you could get done quickly and efficiently in clinic for no additional cost?

Insurance
-
All insurance plans can be used for labs, imaging, hospital stays and specialist referrals. Oftentimes our negotiated cash prices are significantly cheaper than using insurance. Insurance is required for unforeseen emergencies.
The monthly membership fee for Stone Medical is not reimbursable by insurance, however many plans allow you to use your FSA card to pay for membership.
-
Not a problem. At Stone Medical we believe everyone deserves high quality medical care. We do not discriminate against those without insurance. If interested in joining our practice, we are happy to set you up with a consultation with a health insurance specialist to find a plan that works for you.
-
Dr. Stone possesses expertise in caring for this population. If you have Medicare, you will need to sign a waiver declaring you nor your doctor will bill Medicare for membership services. You can use Medicare to see specialists and for hospital admissions.
-
Most patients are able to use Health Reimbursement Agreements (HRA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to pay the membership fee. However the IRS prohibits using Health Savings Accounts (HSA) to pay for direct primary care services at this time. You can use an HSA for non-membership services such as labs, imaging or medications. Please check with your health insurance for your specific plan.
